Gimli can build the debris into a path and smash the cracked LEGO shield using A then X. Have Legolas shoot the three targets on the bonfire. Just for fun, let’s go with Aragorn for a while the Dead Marshes are depressing. Now you’ll have control of Frodo/Sam/Gollum and you can proceed forward to go through the Dead Marshes, or you can use Y to switch over to Aragorn/Legolas/Gimli to track down Merry and Pippin. He’ll fight back, but press X quickly to break free. When Gollum comes down off the wall, run to the glowing spot and use B to lasso Gollum. Now have Sam grab a fish with B and throw it at Gollum with X. You can build a fishing rod from three parts: one in the dark cave, one by digging to the left of the dark cave, and one up high using Sam’s rope. We’re going to need some fish and only one is lying around, so we need a fishing rod to fish at the jetty. Now we need to subdue Gollum and Sam’s rope is the key.
Throw each fish into the basket on the wall and then go through the opening. You now have enough fish to bring down the wall. Now switch to Frodo, climb up the plant’s leaves, and go through the crawlspace, across the climbing bar, then into the dark cave. Climb up and grow the plant from the sprout.
In the next area Sam can break up some debris, dig up some parts, and build them into a climbing hook. When the climbing bars are exposed you can go up and get the fish. Still with Sam, dig up a fire pit and collect the wood you need by smashing the nearby rocks and bushes. Then use the plant’s leaves to climb up to the next area. Moving on, Sam can grow a plant with B and slide the pedestal into position. Once in there, Sam can dig up the fish Gollum buried. Just around the next corner, use Frodo to go into the dark cave. Break the branches and build a ladder, then grab the fish. Sam can get the next fish by climbing up with the rope (press B under the hook). Then start heading around the area to the right. The first two fish are easy to find near the wall. Repeat for the other wing and body, and you’ve finally defeated him.īack to Frodo and Sam, Gollum has put up a wall that can only be brought down with enough fish (yes, really). Run to the glowing spot on the ground and hold down B to direct the lightning at the Balrog’s wings. Avoid the Balrog’s attacks with some timely jumping (A) but it doesn’t really matter if you get killed.
